Women Empowerment: A New Beginning

“Empowerment of women leads to development of a good family, good society and, ultimately, a good nation.” Dr.APJ Abdul Kalam Quotes Great dreams of great dreamers are always transcended.

Education is the most influential tool for changing the entire eternity. It is well said that if any nation wants to grow, it should upgrade its education system and make the population well educated and literate. And most importantly ensure to put more emphasis on the education of its women because if the roots are strong, the stem and branches will automatically become strong.

An educated woman not just helps in bringing the economy upside but also helps in building a strong nation. It opens up their mind for discussions related to household activities, financial discussions, politics, healthy lifestyle etc. It is observed that educated and skilled women bring up their kids in a better way by taking utmost care of all family members, supporting the family and surroundings financially, morally, health wise and many other prominent elements required for the growth of family and eventually the nation.

An educated woman is more confident in making right decisions with logical reasoning behind it. She has earned the capacity of asking and finding reason before performing any act. Education has made women great leaders of the world and not just mere followers. An educated woman’s footprints are visible in each and every field today. Be it small scale industries, large scale industries or space engineering or any field we can think of or name it. It is well evident from the analyzed data of various research programmes that education, skill and empowerment are directly proportional to each other. An educated woman and her status, confidence, decision making ability inspire other women around her to be like her. It is a well known fact that action speaks louder than words and hence proved in case of women empowerment and influencing society for following the same way if they want change in their lives and want to contribute for the society and for the nation. An Educated woman knows to ensure that her contribution is counted and receive the respect and motivation for her deeds.

The trend of women education is going up in the graph be it rural or urban areas. Education provides an awareness about the law and order formed for the betterment of society. In today’s world , women are much aware about the laws and know well what to do in which situation and get the respect, affection and lifestyle she deserves. Education ignites the minds of people to think, to ask for reasons behind any action, to ask for more knowledge about the topics in demand. In today’s online/digital world, it is very important to keep oneself updated about surroundings, especially women, as women and children are the most soft target for anyone. If we look around the data of women’s higher education, the trend is increasing. In India, as per research based on the last 7 years, the number of women enrolling themselves for higher education has risen to almost 47 percent. The Literacy rate of India in 2021 was 74%. The Male literacy rate was 82% and the female literacy rate was 65% as per census 2021. Kerala is the most literate state in India with 93% literacy rate. Also, as per census 2011, Kerala has the highest female literacy rate of 92%.
