Maharishi Inter-School Cricket Championship Trophy

‘Maharishi Inter-School Cricket Championship Trophy’, a 10 day event, has been organised by Maharishi University of Information Technology at its Lucknow campus Sports Ground where 16 teams of different schools will be participating. 

The event kick-stared yesterday on 1st November 2022 with a grand Inauguration Ceremony. The event was inaugurated by Prof. (Dr.) Bhanu Pratap Singh (Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, MUIT). Hon’ble Chancellor, MUIT (Ajay Prakash Shrivastava) conveyed his best wishes and blessings for the successful conduction of the event. The Registrar (Prof. Akhand Pratap Singh) and Dean-Academics. Lucknow campus (Dr. Sapan Asthana) also motivated and blessed the team members and the organisers. The Deans of Schools, Sports Committee Members and students were also present during the ceremony.



Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof.(Dr.) Bhanu Pratap Singh, motivated students to keep sportsman spirit high and maintaining discipline during the tournament. The Dean Academics also motivated the students to play a fair game. The Umpire, Mr. CP Singh, updated students about cricket rules & regulations. 

There were two matches today. The Inaugural Match was played between Teams of MPB Public School (Kasmandi, Mallihabad) lead by their Skipper, Mr. Ritik Gupta & SRK Public Inter College (Ataria, Sitapur) lead by the Skipper, Mr. Vipin Kumar.



The coin was tossed by Hon’ble Vice Chancellor. The toss was won by MPB Public School who elected to bowl first. This match was won by SRK Public Inter College by 45 runs and Man of the Match was Mr. Vipin Kumar.

The second match was played between Stella Maris Inter College (Lucknow) lead by their Skipper, Mr. Akshat Gupta and Bright Sun Public School (Lucknow) lead by Mr. Deepak Tripathi. The toss was won by Stella Maris Inter College and they elected to bowl. The match was won by Stella Maris Inter College by 10 wickets. The Man of the Match for this match was Mr. Meet Shukla.

The Umpires for the matches were Mr. CP Singh, Mr. Prashant Tiwari and Mr. Raju Kumar. 

The event was successfully organised by the Sports Committee of Lucknow Campus.
